The Morningside Natural Area is a diverse terrain, rich with wildlife and plantlife preserved in its natural state. Between the rolling hills of glacial till and the stabilized sand dunes, the area is home to a variety of wildlife - from deer and bears to coyotes and hares. Throughout each season the area is lush in greenery, home to several common trees, plants and flowers.

Located near Morningside, 11 km north of Lacombe and 11 km south of Ponoka, the site is easily accessible from Highway 2, the main north south traffic corridor between Edmonton and Calgary.

The Morningside Natural Area provides preserved natural greenland's for the enjoyment of various activities including orienteering, boy scout training, hiking, nature observation and other forms of recreation. With an extensive trail system and a rich history, the park is a hidden gem awaiting your discovery.
